ASSIGNMENT
Using examples/speeches from “Team Talks” and evidence from the relevant academic literature, critically examine repetition technique in which business managers could talk to (i.e. relay information to) their staff teams more effectively.
– I have attached a draft book called talking to team where you will have more information about this tehqunigue
– Analyse the advantages of using the technique vs not using it in each speeches/exmples
– When you give examples of speeches, also explain what is going on in the example.
– Put examples/speeches in quotations and reference them.
– Verbal transcripts of speeches are available on the American rhetoric website.
– For additional reading, read any book by Matt Atkinson, visit his website www.speaking.co.uk
– For studying rhetoric, read an article by John Heritage and David Greatbatch in an American sociology journal about political rhetoric. 1991/1994
– There should be at least 10 examples of speeches and it can be up to 15 examples with different types of the repetition technique
– There should be different speakers and not focusing in one speaker in order to provide an argument of using the technique
– References should be provided with page number
