(ii) State and explain the following objections to the argument: (a) Goof cannot exist without evil, (b) Evil is a necessary means to good and (c) The universe is better with some evil in it than it could be if there was no evil.
(iii) Explain Mackie’s replies to (a),(b),and (c).
(iv)Critically evaluate Mackie’s discussion: has he successfully rejected these replies to the argument, or does (a) or (b) or (c) show that the atheist’s argument fails? Discuss.
