The effect of the surface area-to-mass relationship is most evident when looking at dusts and their explosion tendencies. Practically any combustible (including metals), when finely divided and suspended in
the air as a dust cloud, can ignite and lead to an explosion.
Use the textbook, the internet as well as professional journals, articles and other academically recognized sources to answer the following:
1. Analyze the factors affecting dust explosions
2. Outline at least three techniques currently used to prevent or alleviate dust explosions
