The rise of ISIS has proven to be a major concern not only in the West, but indeed, throughout the Middle East as well. One issue that has drawn major attention is their use of a variety of means through which they have executed those who they believe are guilty of various crimes and misdeeds.
Using written materials gathered from journalism from the REGION ONLY (Middle east), discuss/present the issue of capital punishment as it has been employed by this extremist group. Who have they targeted? Why these groups? Is there any pattern to their actions? What forms of punishment are they using? What reactions have there been in the Middle East? In the rest of the world?
