For the 200 points on each case you must turn in a minimum six-page writeup (11-point; Times New Roman, 1-inch margin; 1.5 spaced). In the writeup you must discuss the following sections:
1. Identify three concepts from any of the chapters covered until the deadline and relate them to the issues discussed in the Case. Concepts are ONLY the key definitions in the chapter. (each concept must be defined and described HOW it relates to the case; 10 points x 3 concepts [minimum 100 words each] = 30 points; 300 words)
2. List three problems discussed in the case, and identify the key problem [100 words for each problem; 40 points total; DO NOT list “competition” “economy” as problems. Explain the problem as it specifically applies to the firm]
3. What information is available on different functional areas (i) Marketing; (ii) Operations; (iii) Finance, (iv) HR, (v) technology portfolio; and (vi) Information Systems in the case. This information is central to help solve the problem you identified in (b). DO NOT RELIST INFORMATION IN THE CASE, RATHER SYNTHESIZE AVAILABLE INFORMATON. [60 points]
4. What are your recommendations to fixing the key problem listed under (b)? [70 points; 500 words]. Only provide the solution to the key problem by using information in #3 to support your assumptions for the solution. PROPOSING SOLUTION(S) for any other problem will result in a grade of zero for this part.
