Integrated Essay: Systems Thinking
In the 21st century, balance is a motif that poses challenges for many people. As individuals try to balance work with leisure time, family time, and personal time, the drive to allow all facets of life to coexist may appear to be a complicated task. When unexpected personal and professional traumas throw off the balancing act, it is common to attempt to re-engineer the manner in which equilibrium is reached and maintained.
Consider how your company juggles its obligations to both sustainablity and profitability. How do these obligations relate to each other and coexist in an ever-evolving and demanding global business environment?
With these thoughts in mind:
Explain and discuss the relationships of sustainable thinking to crisis management and total quality management paradigms. Be sure to also discuss and explain how systems thinking can help understand the motivations of individuals, groups, organizations, economies, and nations to participate in social change and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
